Hon. Idowu Adejumoke Senbanjo aka “Mama Port City”,

More than just a leader, Hon. Idowu Adejumoke Senbanjo has proven herself to be a caring mother to the people of Apapa. .It is therefore no surprise that she is fondly and proudly called “Mama Port City.” Her legacy of service, compassion, and development continues to speak loudly across Apapa ocal Government. Her leadership has not only benefited residents but has also positively impacted civil servants within the council, who continue to enjoy improved welfare and a conducive working environment under her administration.

Under her stewardship, Apapa has seen the implementation of health initiatives aimed at improving access to healthcare services,  skill acquisition, entrepreneurship, and educational support, aiming to equip the youth with the tools needed for self-sufficiency, environmental initiatives to address waste management and promote cleanliness in Apapa, Hon Senbanjo has significantly reduced heavy traffic and flooding, reconstruction of the Astroturf mini stadiums in both Ijora and Apapa, rehabilitation of several roads to improve movement and accessibility within the community, distribution of note books and textbooks to pupils in all primary schools across Apapa. she has also invested in youth development by sponsoring young people from Apapa to other African countries for youth development programs, giving them exposure and opportunities to grow and excel.
