Pastor Sarah Omakwu is the Senior Pastor of FAMILY WORSHIP CENTER & President of FAMILY MINISTRIES INT. She is a native of Kaduna State and was born on July 31, 1962. On April 11, 1993,
she and her late husband, Pastor Inalegwu Omakwu, founded the Family Worship Centre, one of Abuja’s most vibrant Christian congregations, located in Wuye District, with branches across the country. Known for her compassion, generosity, and caring nature, she is a sought-after conference speaker and author who has ministered at both local and international conferences, bringing blessings to many. The Family Worship Centre’s extensive support for widows, orphans, prisoners, and those displaced by religious conflict stems from her conviction that the gospel should be “good news” to the weak and vulnerable. She also runs the Sarina Project, which rehabilitates street girls. Sarah Omakwu’s sermons have touched many lives, and she is committed to taking the gospel to every corner of the globe. The church boasts 147 locations across the country, an estimated 30,000 members, and millions of worshippers online. Pastor Sarah’s inspiring and insightful teachings encourage her followers to live lives of unwavering excellence, selflessness, joy, and godliness. She advocates for strong families, godly relationships, and a society in which both the governed and those in authority do what is right.
